How it works

How Reckonmark, the compliance monitor for ecommerce sellers, runs while you sleep.

From the one-click store link to a paste-ready morning email with the failing line and a suggested rewrite — three steps, no legal memo. This is the loop every Reckonmark install runs on, whether you sell on Etsy, Shopify, Amazon, or mix two or three.

The scan loop

Three steps. The whole thing runs while you sleep.

Connect your storefronts, let the rules engine plus LLM pass read every active listing, and get a plain-English email the morning something fails.

  1. Step 01

    Connect your store
One-click link to Shopify, Etsy, or Amazon. Reckonmark reads your listings — it never edits them, and it respects each platform's rate limits.
  2. Step 02

    Rules engine + LLM pass
Every active listing is checked daily against a maintained rules engine plus a soft-judgment LLM pass — Prop 65, EU GPSR, FTC disclosures, trademark, and platform house rules.
  3. Step 03

    Morning plain-English email
When something fails, you get a short email naming the failing line, the rule it tripped, and a paste-ready suggested rewrite in language you can actually act on.

Before / after

Three alerts your morning digest might surface.

The failing line, the rule it tripped, and the paste-ready suggested rewrite tuned to that snippet. Sample surfaces: Prop 65 wood-combustion, EU GPSR manufacturer-and-responsible-person, and FTC material-connection disclosure.

CA Prop 65
Combustion-product SKU — Prop 65 warning missing for California buyers

Failing line

"Barbecue smoking chips — apple, hickory, mesquite. Eight ounces of wood chips for your smoker."

Wood-combustion products expose California buyers to chemicals listed under Proposition 65 — including wood smoke and PAH. Listings shipping into California need the standard warning on the listing page before checkout concludes; enforcement is per-order, not per-seller.

Suggested rewrite

"WARNING: This product, when used as intended, exposes you to chemicals including wood smoke and soot, which are known to the State of California to cause cancer. For more information go to www.P65Warnings.ca.gov."

EU GPSR
EU GPSR — manufacturer and EU Responsible Person missing on detail page

Failing line

"Bamboo toothbrush (3-pack). Sustainably harvested bamboo, ergonomic handle, BPA-free bristles."

The EU General Product Safety Regulation has been enforced since December 2024. Every consumer listing shipping into the EU needs a registered manufacturer address, an EU Responsible Person, and a product-safety trail on the detail page. Etsy ships cross-border by default.

Suggested rewrite

"Manufacturer: GreenGrove Fiber Co., 1445 SE Main St, Portland OR 97214, USA. EU Responsible Person: EU-Authorised Rep GmbH, Königstraße 10, 70173 Stuttgart, Germany. Tested to EN 71-3 toy-safety standard."

Info
FTC
Affiliate / material-connection disclosure missing on review content

Failing line

"My honest take after three months of daily use — ten things I love, one thing I don’t."

The FTC Endorsement Guides require a clear material-connection disclosure whenever a post is sponsored, gifted, or affiliated — even on independent review content where the link earns a commission. The disclosure has to live in the post, not behind a hashtag.

Suggested rewrite

"I bought this with my own money — but this post contains affiliate links and I earn a small commission if you order through them. That doesn’t change my take."

Paste-ready — tuned to the failing snippet above.
